Gross Shuman Attorney Les Greenbaum Inducted into Buffalo Music Hall of Fame

December 16, 2021

On December 1, The Buffalo Music Hall of Fame inducted its Class of 2021. Among those enshrined in the hall was Gross Shuman P.C. attorney Les Greenbaum, as part of the Rick James Stone City Family. Mr. Greenbaum, along with the late Irv Shuman, represented the iconic Rick James for many years during the height of his career.

James, the Grammy Award-Winning singer, songwriter and producer from Buffalo, was best known for a string of hit songs in the 1980’s including “Super Freak” and “Give it to me Baby.”

The singer himself was inducted into the Buffalo Music Hall of Fame in 1996. This year, it was his supporting cast, including Mr. Greenbaum, dubbed “The Stone City Family” that was honored.

In addition to James, Mr. Greenbaum represented The Stone City Band (James studio and touring band), The Mary Jane Girls, Process and the Doo Rags, and Val Young, among others.

“It was an honor for Irv and myself to represent Rick for so many years, and although I never expected this, it is certainly an honor to be recognized for that work, as part of his Stone City Family,” Mr. Greenbaum said.

The Buffalo Music Hall of Fame is located at 340 Amherst Street, Buffalo. You can learn more at www.bmhof.org
