GROSS SHUMAN HIRES NEW ATTORNEY

BUFFALO, NY -- Attorney Teia Marie Bui has joined the Buffalo law firm of Gross Shuman Brizdle &Gilfillan. Bui’s experience includes an extensive background in tax law. She also represents clients in corporate, partnership, welfare benefit plan, defined benefit plan, Economic Development Credit (EDC), Foreign Bank Account Reporting (FBAR), and theft loss issues.

Bui comes to Gross Shuman with a practice focused on civil and criminal tax issues. Her past experience includes work with an insurance defense firm and a clerkship for the Department of Justice at the United States Attorney’s Office, W.D.N.Y. Bui also has counseled non-profit corporate clients through her work with the Community & Economic Development Clinic at the University at Buffalo Law School. 

Bui earned her J.D. from the State University of New York at Buffalo Law School and served as Business Editor of the Buffalo Law Review. She also clerked for over 5 years at the I.R.S. Office of Chief Counsel and earned a B.S. in Accounting from Hilbert College.  

Her experience includes serving as a substitute teacher for a Public Policy Law and Management class at the University at Buffalo School of Management, and as a Board Member of the University at Buffalo Law School GOLD Group.
