Scott Atwater has practiced law for over 30 years and has a nationwide litigation and appellate practice involving complex and high exposure matters including insurance coverage, professional liability, investor losses and FINRA arbitrations, and self-insured employers and workers' compensation trusts. Mr. Atwater has litigated cases throughout the United States and its territories in both state and federal courts and is admitted to practice in New York and Florida. Scott is a former Senior Assistant District Attorney for Erie County, assigned to the Major Violent Offense Bureau, and in that capacity tried jury cases involving homicide, arson and sexual assaults. He was also an Assistant New York State Attorney General where he tried civil claims made against the State of New York. Mr. Atwater has been rated AV® Preeminent (TM) , the highest possible rating, by Martindale-Hubbell.
