Jeffrey A. Human is a member of the law firm of Gross, Shuman, Brizdle & Gilfillan, P.C., Buffalo, New York, where he practices in the areas of business, corporate, tax and securities law. He is admitted to the New York Bar (1979), U.S. District Court (W.D.N.Y. 1979) and United States Tax Court (1979). Jeff received his undergraduate education at Valparaiso University, Valparaiso, Indiana (B.A., 1975) and his legal education at State University of New York at Buffalo, Buffalo, New York (J.D., 1978). He is a member of the Erie County Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association. Jeff served as Chairman of the Taxation Committee of the Erie County Bar Association from 1987 to 1990 and as Co-Chairman of the University of Buffalo Tax Institute from 1988 to 1989, where he has been a frequent lecturer. He is also a member of the Planned Giving Consortium of Western New York, the Estate Analysts of Western New York, the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) Attorney Association, and a board member of the WNY Venture Association. Jeff is a member of St. John Lutheran Church of Amherst, New York where he has served as Executive Vice President (2001-2002) and President (2008 - 2009) and is currently serving on its Permanent Endowment Fund Committee. He also currently serves on the Board of Lutheran Charities of WNY and is a past Chairman of the Lake Chautauqua Lutheran Camp Board.
